Korean comedy film Wild Sing streams worldwide on Netflix on July 31, 2026 KST, or July 30 PT. It follows a fictional early-2000s K-pop group attempting a reunion two decades after a scandal broke them apart.
What is confirmed
Gang Dong-won plays Hyun-woo, leader of the three-member co-ed dance group Triangle. A reunion offer sends him looking for former bandmates Sang-gu, played by Um Tae-goo, and Do-mi, played by Park Ji-hyun. Oh Jung-se plays their old rival, ballad singer Choi Seong-gon.
The film is directed by Son Jae-gon. Its fictional songs were developed with producers Shim Eun-ji and KASS, while Yang Wook of Nana Company worked on choreography.
Why the K-pop setting matters
The premise uses two eras of idol culture: Triangle’s brightly styled early career and its attempted return in a different music industry 20 years later. Netflix says the styling and fictional discography were designed to reflect that contrast rather than use an existing group’s real history.
How to watch
Netflix says the film will carry subtitles in 32 languages and dubbing in 15. Language and exact launch time can still vary by account region and device, so check the title page inside Netflix.
This preview covers only the official setup and cast. It does not reveal whether the reunion succeeds or what caused the original scandal.
