Netflix has confirmed production of Paper Man, a Korean crime drama built around a perfect counterfeit bill. The project has an announced director and lead cast, but no release date has been announced as of July 22, 2026.
What Netflix confirmed
The official announcement was published on June 8. Netflix describes the story as a crime drama in which the appearance of a flawless counterfeit bill brings several people into conflict.
Lee Il-hyung directs the series. Netflix currently refers to Paper Man as a working title, so the English or Korean title could change before release.
Confirmed cast and roles
- Cho Jung-seok plays Cha Myung-jo.
- Park Hae-soo plays Oh Seung-eop, first deputy director of the Anti-Counterfeiting Division at the Korea Mint.
- Claudia Kim plays Ko Hye-seok, Myung-jo’s wife and a judge.
These names and role descriptions come from Netflix’s announcement. Additional cast, episode count, age rating and a trailer were not included in that release.
Is there a release date?
No. Production being confirmed does not mean a finished series or launch schedule has been confirmed. Posts that attach a month or year without a Netflix program page or announcement should be treated as estimates, not official dates.
The next reliable update will most likely be a Netflix title page, a teaser, or a dated announcement from Netflix Korea. We will update this article when one of those appears and clearly mark what changed.
