Both events can put idols on a stage in front of fans, but they are organized around different goals.

A comeback showcase introduces new music

A comeback showcase is tied to a release and usually happens on or near its launch. The program may include the first performance of a title track, selected B-sides, an album presentation and short talk segments. A debut showcase serves a similar promotional purpose for a new artist.

Access varies. TXT’s 2026 comeback showcase announcement described both online and in-person plans, with separate raffles for membership holders and eligible album purchasers. That does not mean every showcase is free or automatically included with an album.

A fan meeting centers the fandom

A fan meeting is designed primarily for artist–fan interaction. Talk, games, letters, fan participation and special stages may take more time than a standard concert set. It can be ticketed, membership-prioritized and held without any new release.

ITZY’s 2026 fan meeting, for example, used fanclub presale verification followed by general ticket sales. Its ticket rules belonged to that event, not to all fan meetings.

The names can overlap in practice

A showcase can include fan interaction, and a fan meeting can debut an unreleased song. “Show-con,” “fan concert” and anniversary events mix concert and meeting formats even more explicitly.

Before booking travel, check the official notice for the running time, venue, ticket or raffle process, membership requirement, streaming availability and ID rules. The label tells you the likely purpose; it does not guarantee a particular setlist, length or admission method.
